Project Setup, Execution, and Clean up

The GlueStick map is the place where kids and caregivers can interact with each other to do fun projects

The GlueStick Town Map has so many great places to explore, including the playground, science lab, zoo, amusement park, and more! What will you discover on your creative journey?

Starting a Project

  1. Tap or click on the map location you want to explore. For example, the Playground.

  2. Choose the project you are interested in.

  3. Click on the bold purple “Start Project” to get started. This will launch the supply scavenger hunt.

  4. Not sure this is the project for you? Tap “Read Instructions” to get a preview of the project before you begin.

The Scavenger hunt lists all the supplies this project needs

Finding all the supplies a project needs is the first step to any successful project. GlueStick makes finding your supplies fun with animated checklists.

  1. Check the box if you have the corresponding supplies and try your best to find all the needed supplies. You or your grown-ups can leave hints about where to find the googly eyes and glue by using the location field of your household Supply Cupboard.

  2. After checking all the boxes, click the “Get Started” bold purple button on the bottom to begin your activity!

Completing a Project

Follow the instructions

GlueStick will give you step-by-step instructions for how to complete the project or activity. Watch out for the warning symbols that say this step may need some help from a grown-up!

Add it to the Art Gallery

When you’re done, don’t forget to take a picture of your project and upload it. Later, you and anyone else in your household can admire your creation in the Art Gallery.

Rate the project

Help us suggest projects you’ll like by rating the project. Was it fun? Were the instructions well-written? Tell us! Your rating helps us continue to improve GlueStick for you and all the kids who use it.

Clean Up Time!

No project is “done” until all the supplies we used are back in their homes and we’ve cleaned up any messes we’ve made. GlueStick makes it fun by turning clean-up into a reverse scavenger hunt!

Unlocking avatars

Check off each supply as you put it away for a fun animated surprise. You might unlock a new avatar that you can set as your creative buddy in the Pet Store!

Updating your Supply Cupboard

GlueStick can help you get ready for your next project if you let us know how many supplies you have left. Tell us if you have one, a few, a lot, or are all out of the supplies you used, and we’ll show checkmarks on the supply lists of future projects so you can easily see what you can do right now.
